The Staff at Walters

Mr James R Bramley BSC (Hons) is head of all clinical and ophthalmic matters. James has been involved in optics since the day he was born - his father was a qualified Dispensing optician!

James been with the company nearly ten years and has helped build the companies clinical reputation for excellent eye-care.

Mr Roy Walters FBDO SMC (tech) has been in optics 23 years, starting as a trainee technician in 1985 and working his way up through the ranks- qualifying as Technician is 1991, then going on to qualify as a Dispensing Optician in 1995. Through working his way through ranks Roy has gained a thorough Knowledge of every level of spectacle manufacture, lens material characteristics and their performance.

On January 2nd 1998, Roy took this experience and, along with his wife Anna Walters (Anna herself has 0ver 20 years experience in optics) established the companies first practice in Gainsborough.

Anna has worked in optics in both the spectacle dispensing and practice management fields, amassing a wealth of knowledge and Experience since 1988. Anna worked in the Gainsborough practice From day one.

Since returning after a break to raise a family, Anna has worked and managed the North Hykeham practice.

Elaine Metcalfe has worked in optics since 1983, joining the company in 1998 after a career break to have a family. Elaine has gained a wealth of experience and knowledge throughout her career, and puts this to good use. Elaine, Roy and James had previously worked together in a prestigious county practice.

Rowena Munro FBDO has been with the company nearly 10 years and has been a Qualified Dispensing Optician since 2003. Rowena, herself from Gainsborough, attended the same Anglia Polytechnic University in Cambridge as Roy. Rowena has worked along side Roy and has gained much knowledge and experience.

Luke Roberts has been with the company since 2004 and is nearing the completion of his training as a qualified Optical technician. Luke has trained through correspondence course run from The London City College, and through in house training from Roy.

Sue Stanley has been with the company since 2005 and is the sole receptionist in the North Hykeham practice. Sue has played a vital role in the establishing a solid patient base in the east Lincoln area.

Jemma Marah has been with the company since 2005 and has quickly learnt the ropes and become a valuable asset to the company. Jemma, Elaine and Sue make up the crucial reception team for the company, and are at the centre of the business - orchestrating and controlling the daily running of both practices.
