Essilor Crizal Alize lens coatings

Why settle for regular spectacle lenses when you can have Crizal Alize?

Crizal lenses out-perform regular lenses by helping you to see better, feel better, and actually look better when you are wearing your glasses.

These virtually invisible lenses are extremely durable, scratch resistant, and easy to clean.

State-of-the-art, no-glare properties are combined with double-sided scratch resistance and a finish that repels water. Crizal lenses eliminate reflections that cause eyestrain and fatigue, especially from fluorescent lighting and computer screens. They resist dirt and smudges, so you do not have to clean them as often.

With Crizal, you not only look better—you feel better, too.

What makes a Crizal Alize coated lens so special?

Crizal Alize lenses are created with a state-of-the-art, 8-step manufacturing process that fuses 2-sided scratch resistance with anti-reflective properties and hydrophobic technology into the lens itself for unparalleled durability and performance.

Step 1 : Automated lens cleaning

Ultrasonic cleaning ensures excellent bonding between lens and anti-scratch elements, and prevents cracking.

Step 2 : Two-sided scratch resistance

Glass-like silica particles ensure lens hardness. Polymer matrix ensures lens flexibility.

Step 3 : Hi-energy surface control

High-energy particles bombard lens in vacuum chamber, ensuring a proper bond between anti-reflective and scratch-resistant technologies.

Step 4 : Anti-particulate layer

This step ensures that dirt, dust, and even oil are not attracted to the lens after wiping. It actually causes the lens to repel these particles.

Step 5 : Anti-reflective technology

Diamond-like zirconium oxide on both sides of the lens maximizes light transmission with increased toughness while reducing unwanted reflections.

Step 6 : Hydrophobic properties

A patented step in the process that ensures proper edging of the lens. A hydrophobic process reduces adhesion of grease and water stains, while vacuum chamber application ensures adhesion and dual-sided ease of cleaning.

Step 7 : Pad control system

A patented step in the process that ensures proper edging of the lens.

Step 8 : Systematic quality control

Every product is batch tested for scratch resistance, adhesion integration, and clarity. Every lens meets rigorous Essilor quality standards.

The results...

A Crizal lens is an integrated system of 2-sided scratch resistance, anti-reflective and hydrophobic technologies, giving you unsurpassed performance and durability.
